Veteran microstockers, Eliza (Leez) and Dave Snow, have been selling their photos and video online for over 10 years. They have a passion for creating visual art and truly delight in helping people discover the magic of earning passive income from doing what they love.
Leez and Dave started Everything Microstock in 2011 as a way to share tips, experiences, and insider information with others in the microstock community. They write and blog on the topic of making passive income with microstock, and have published several ebooks, training videos, and a DVD on how start and run your own successful microstock business.
Eliza (Leez) Snow – Commercial Microstock Photographer
Eliza (Leez) Snow, owner of Lightstyle Photography, is a full-time commercial photographer specializing in microstock. She has been selling her microstock photos exclusively with iStockPhoto.com since 2005, and is among the top contributors in image sales.
“I started selling photos online part-time while I still worked at my Monday-Friday corporate job. I made a huge commitment of time and energy to selling photos online, and was so motivated to see my earnings grow. In fact, within 3 years I was able to quit my corporate job and focus on selling microstock photos full-time.”
Leez’s passion for stock photography, together with her extensive business experience and genuine interest in helping others, have led her to provide guidance and direction to many photographers in successfully getting started and growing their micro stock photography businesses.
Leez is also an audio contributor at iStockphoto, with a small but growing portfolio of sound effects and voice over clips.
Traveling and hiking are among Leez’s other interests. (But she usually carries her camera and an extra lens or two while enjoying those pursuits as well!)
Dave Snow – Media Producer & Motion Graphic Artist
Dave Snow is a professional media producer and owns a San Francisco Bay Area based agency, SnowTech Media. SnowTech Media does web, video, motion graphics, and sound productions for businesses.
Dave has been selling microstock video for several years and is excited about teaching videographers and motion graphics artists about the microstock industry.
“We are just now entering the ‘age of video’. I saw the same thing happen with the web more than a decade ago. Only a few people had websites, and now it’s an absolute requirement. It’s becomming the same for video, except the skills to make good video are much harder to acquire. Individuals and companies will increasingly look to the microstock industry for video content…its a great opportunity to make money doing what we love to do!” – Dave Snow
Dave’s passion for teaching has lead him to help many people to get started with web, video, and motion graphics careers, as well as helping others launch new businesses.
